What is Reflexology?
Reflexology uses specific techniques of massage and manipulation of the hands or feet to stimulate the body’s natural healing responses and to promote a sense of general wellbeing.

Reflexologists believe that there are specific reflex points in the hands and feet which correspond to all organs, glands, and parts of the body.

Stimulating these reflex areas unblocks nerve impulses and improves blood circulation to leave you feeling physically relaxed and re-energized.

Reflexology treatments also calm and relax the mind thereby reducing stress and anxiety.

You can also use reflexology in conjunction with medicine and drugs as a natural method of pain relief and healing.

What are the Benefits of Reflexology?
Reflexology works on the whole body by stimulating your lymphatic system, rebalancing your hormones, boosting your immune system, improving your sleep and flushing toxics.

It also provides relief from stress, anxiety and low mood.

My clients tell me that not only do they feel more relaxed and energetic, they have experienced improvements in the following conditions:

What to Expect from a Reflexology Treatment?
You will remain fully clothed throughout the treatment except for your shoes and socks which you will remove before relaxing back on a fully adjustable treatment couch.

On request, I will cover you with a soft blanket before gently cleaning your feet and beginning the treatment.

I will apply subtle pressure with my thumbs and fingers to all parts of your feet noting any problem areas.

You need not worry about the appearance of your feet. In fact, it helps me to understand more about your current health and wellbeing.

The manipulation of your feet is not ticklish and is usually very pleasant and extremely relaxing.

It is possible that you might occasionally feel some slight and fleeting discomfort as I stimulate blood circulation and unblock nerve endings in your feet.

Please don’t feel concerned if this happens. This is perfectly normal and is part of the body’s natural healing mechanisms.
